Etsy only gives me a certain amount of images per posting, so here are some extra images of options for backgammon and checkers pieces. |
These prototype checkers are examples of options I can provide. Any blemishes or mistakes you see here will not be tolerated in the finished product. These checkers are 1.5" diameter and 1/2" thick. (American quarters and pennies for scale.) Click the image to enlarge. |

The edges on the prototypes you see here aren't as good as I had hoped, so I made changes to how I cut them out. This is the example of the edge with how I'm going to be cutting the pieces out from now on. |

Clear & White Two Tone Top and Side Views The standard "etch on top" is on the left, and for fun I put the etch between the two pieces of plastic, which is on the right. With the etch between the layers, it'll never get dirty. |

Clear Top and Side Views The standard "etch on top" is on the left, and the etch between two pieces of plastic is on the right. The one on the left is a single piece of plastic, while the enclosed etch is 2 stacked pieces of acrylic. |
I need to work on centering the etch when putting it between the layers of plastic, but that will come with more practice. |
I cannot find 1/2" acrylic in anything other than clear, so the only checker you see here that is a single piece of plastic is the Clear checker with the etch on top. Everything else is 2 layers of 1/4" plastic that is welded together with the laser cutter as it is cut out. |
I suggest avoiding matching solids with two tones. Of course, you can't avoid that with the Clear checkers. |
I also recommed avoiding matching Black with Translucent Black, unless you are doing an underlit acrylic or glass board, as they will otherwise look almost exactly the same. |
